Regenerative Medicine of Iowa, PC, is an exceptional physical medicine and rehabilitation practice in West Des Moines, Iowa, led by board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist Michael D. Jackson, MD, FAAPMR.
Dr. Jackson is a native of Flint, Michigan, where at the age of six he developed the desire to become a doctor.
While playing football as a high school senior at Flint Southwestern, he read an article about Clarence L. Shields, Jr., M.D., a black orthopedic surgeon serving as the team physician for the Los Angeles Rams. The article not only confirmed Dr. Jackson’s choice of career but also kindled his lifelong passion for sports medicine.
As a leading interventional orthopedic and pain recovery physician in the Greater Midwest, Dr. Jackson is specialty-trained in Interventional Orthopedics. His work in Restorative Medicine focuses on providing pain recovery. Simply managing pain resulting from musculoskeletal conditions fails to address the patient's overall health and wellness.
As a result, Dr. Jackson works with patients to improve biomechanics and reduce disability, thus improving their physical function and allowing them to return to many normal daily activities.
He brings his extensive experience in pain recovery to Regenerative Medicine of Iowa, PC, where he uses the highest level of evidence-based medical technology and therapies available in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
As a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), Dr. Jackson has been practicing occupational and sports medicine for over 20 years. He is board-certified with the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine.
Dr. Jackson warmly welcomes all patients into Regenerative Medicine of Iowa, PC, and looks forward to caring for them.
